Well, these two classes would be very interesting to have as disciple of hand.
Boneworker would be specialized in stones and bone, leaving goldsmithing with jewels and valuable metals. This wouldn’t really damage goldsmith since it would actually have a brand new space to grow…instead of making bone scales, make silver scales…instead of making horn staves make mythril staves…
And meanwhile boneworker would make sabers with antelope horns, drake scales with drake skin, rock hammers, flint arrows, coral earrings, etc.
With boneworker, not only stones and bones would have way more love but also it would leave goldsmithing way more specialized too! ^^
About engineer, it would be a class specialized in machinery and complex weapons/armors. Who would make guns to musketeers? Engineers! Cannons? Gunblades, Gunbows? Engineers! Mammet parts? Engineers! Magitek armors and warpers (not sure if I talked about warpers here…gonna check this later)? Engineers!
It would be a pretty useful class when we talking about city development and even company development since they both would require technology to create engines…what would be of cities like Midgar and the gardens without technology? Would all airship being balloon-like stuff? Nah…much better when we have an engine roaring behind these stuff! ^^
